Sight for Sore Eyes Veronica tries a peek-a-boo hairstyle. Archie likes it, so Betty does the same. The fad sweeps the school, much to Mr. Weatherbee's displeasure. Fit for a Queen Veronica is elected Queen of the Riverdale Festival. All of Archie's friends tease him so much about not being good enough for royalty that he starts to believe it himself. Too Close for Comfort Betty and Veronica get caught up in the fad for "Slim Jims," very skinny pants. Life Is Cheap Betty saves Archie from falling into an open manhole. Betty makes Archie feel obligated to her for saving his life and irritates Veronica enough that she comes up with a scheme where Archie will save Betty's life and be even.
